The Hummingbird Mask is Darryl’s later documented piece here on Northwestnativearts.net.  Carved in early 2006 this piece includes some of Darryl’s newest style modifications to his style.  Feathers are done a in a style that they show the speed and beauty of a real Hummingbird.  A sharper thinner beak is also incorporated.  This piece measures : 14 inches long, 8 inches wide and 5 inches tall.  This piece is carved out of western red cedar, which gives the carving a distinct pattern of light and dark streaks in the wood.
